In 1980 graduated from faculty of calculus mathematics and cybernetics ofLomonosovMoscowStateUniversity.
From 1982 to 1997 worked in the All-Russian Research Institute to problems of civil defense and emergency situations of Emercom of Russia.
From 1997 to 2003 worked in Lukoil Insurance group (was the head of Service of risk analysis).
Since 2003 till present – the head of insurance of JSC "LUKOIL".
In 1987 protected candidate, and in 1994 – the doctoral dissertation in "Safety, protection, rescue and life support of the population in emergency situations". Corresponding member of theRussianAcademyof Natural Sciences, full member of Academy of geopolitical problems.
The head over 300 projects on preparation of declarations of safety of the industrial facilities which passed state examination. The author over 370 scientific works on problems of risk analysis, safety at emergency, insurance protection, from them more than 80 are published in Great Britain, Germany, Norway, Sweden, France, the Netherlands and other countries.
The coauthor of the report noted by the special diploma of the European Society in risk analysis "For outstanding scientific achievement" (Stockholm, 1997).
The winner of an award of Emercom of Russia in science and technology for work "Problems of risk analysis and technology of their decision for management of industrial risks in theRussian Federation" (Moscow, 2000).
Author of the project "Organization of effective insurance protection as control element industrial risks: practical experience of the JSC "LUKOIL" declared as the winner of the competition held by Expert RA rating agency together with the Ekspert magazine within the International forum on risk management in Russia in the "Best Project in the field of Development of Insurance Protection" nomination (Moscow, 2005).
In 2009 at the Forum FERMA (Federations of the European Associations of a risk management) on submission of the Business Insurance edition it is recognized as "The European risk manager of year".
In May, 2012 it is awarded with the Medal of the Russian society of risk management "For a personal contribution to development of risk management inRussia".
