In 1976 he graduated with honors from the Faculty of Management and Applied Mathematics of the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology with a degree in automatic control systems, and in 1979 - graduate school of the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology with a degree in 01.01.09 - mathematical cybernetics.
