Из-за своей обширной территории, сложной географической и  экологической среды и  сильно различающихся климатических условий Россия является одной из стран, которые страдают от частых климатических и погодных катаклизмов. В обзоре приведены сведения о погодных экстремумах в России в 2010—2020 гг. — наводнениях, тайфунах, ледяном дожде, засухах и об их воздействии на здоровье и жизнедеятельность населения. Делается вывод о  том, что хотя большинство из опасных гидрометеорологических событий невозможно избежать полностью, многие последствия для здоровья потенциально могут быть предотвращены с помощью систем раннего предупреждения и  мер по обеспечению готовности общественного здравоохранения и реагированию на них, путем создания устойчивых к изменению климата систем здравоохранения и других управленческих структур.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Climate change and climate-sensitive disasters caused by hydrological, meteorological, and climatic hazards have a significant and increasing direct and indirect impact on human health, leading to an increased risk of death, disease, and injury. Due to its vast area, complex geographical and ecological environment, and various climatic conditions, Russia is one of the countries that suffer a lot from frequent climate and weather hazards. The review provides information about weather extremes in Russia in 2010—2020 — floods, typhoons, freezing rain, droughts, and their impact on the health and livelihoods of the population.
